KOSHERLAND

Somewhere in Latvia. On his release from prison debt collector Yaroslav Baturov meets a cop with clairvoyant abilities and gets involved in an extortion operation that takes an unexpected turn in Shlomo Rubinstein`s Jewish deli grocery store „Kosherland“.

Director: Pyotr Magnus Nedov

Pyotr Magnus Nedov was born in Moldova in 1982. He holds a PhD in Film Science from the University of Vienna. In 2013 he completed the Postgraduate Film Program at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne, Germany. "Kosherland" is his diploma film. In 2013 his critically acclaimed novel “The Sweet Life” ("Zuckerleben", DuMont Publishers) was published. He currently lives in Berlin and works as a writer and filmmaker.
